One thing I realized as soon as I arrived in China is that every place is naturally different. By that I mean literally different in nature! I was super excited to see bamboo when I arrived, but failed to realize that I wouldn't be able to point it out on the side of the road. I did get to eat pieces of bamboo in parts of my meals throughput the trip, though!

Bamboo being a special and unique plant, thrives in the subtropical temperatures southern China is able to provide, often growing in forests. I began to think of bamboo similarly to the California Redwoods.

I was super excited to get to see a small patch of bamboo growing at the Lion's Grove Garden in Suzhou, and paused for a second to get a photo next to the beautiful plants.
